Buckets

Named containers in object storage hold arbitrary blobs keyed by path-like names plus optional version IDs. Policies control encryption, ACLs, lifecycle transitions, and public access. Treat buckets as flat namespaces rather than POSIX directories to avoid hot-prefix bottlenecks.
